Rollover Crash Closes Interstate 17 - Black Canyon City

Description: I-17 closed due to rollover crash about 3 miles north of Black Canyon City (mile 247). Expect significant delays due to weekend traffic returning from Flagstaff to Phoenix.
Location: On Interstate 17 (I-17), southbound from mile post 247.0, 1.30 miles south of Bumble Bee
Duration: July 14, 2013 from 1:13 PM to 4:00 6:30 PM MST.

Updates:

1. 2:54 PM MST: One lane reopened. The left lane is blocked. Backup is about 8 miles long, according to ADOT.
2. 3:37 PM MST: Traffic backup is now 11-mile long.
3. 4:20 PM MST: Now a 15 mile long backup from SR 69 to just north of Black Canyon City. Ouch!!
4. 4:55 PM MST:  Southbound Intestate 17 traffic jam is now 20 mile long (Cordes Junction to Black Canyon City), according to ADOT (Arizona Department of Transportation).
5. 6:37 PM MST: All lanes now open. Still a 20 mile backup. Expect delays for a while.

Alternate Routes: SR 87 thru Payson or SR 89 south thru Prescott to US 93.
