Street Closures for Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon 2016

Sunday, January 17, 2016 Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon Street Closures. Traffic restrictions and road closures on several major Scottsdale streets will be in effect between 6:30 AM and 2 PM MST.

Drivers are strongly encouraged to use the freeway system to avoid the marathon route.

The major street restrictions are:

• Indian School Road closed between 48th Street and Goldwater Boulevard
• Goldwater Boulevard closed between Indian School Rd and Second Street
• Goldwater Boulevard northbound closed between Second Street and Marshall Way
• First Avenue closed between Goldwater Boulevard and Marshall Way
• Second Street closed between Goldwater Boulevard and Marshall Way
• Marshall Way closed between First Avenue and Goldwater Boulevard
• Main Street closed between Marshall Way and Goldwater Boulevard
• Hayden Rd southbound closed between McKellips and McDowell roads
• McDowell Road eastbound closed between Scottsdale and Hayden Rd
• Scottsdale Road northbound reduced to one lane between McKellips and McDowell Rd
• Thomas Road westbound closed from Scottsdale Road to 64th Street
• 64th Street southbound reduced to one lane; closed between Thomas Rd and McDowell Road

Residents and businesses located near the race course are encouraged to plan ahead and be aware of road closure schedules and alternate access routes. Please note that on race day – both before and during the race – traffic is not allowed to cross the race route, so plan accordingly.
